Inside Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (With CD-ROM)

As you know, this is the book I consider my SQL Server 2000 Bible. It is an advanced book focused on SQL Server 2000 internals, which I consider extremely important to obtain that extra performance gain from your database system.

It is not a book for beginners, but for those who don't have enough with the standard documentation, and love to look under the hood.

Advanced Transact-SQL for SQL Server 2000

This book has two excellent authors: Itzik Ben-Gan (SQL Server MVP y one of the most recognized experts on SQL Server) and Dr. Thomas Moreau (who doesn't know his contributions to SQL Server Professional magazine?).

On this book, they tried to avoid the common examples and problems already available on the official documentation and other books, driving you across many interesting, sometimes unconventional, SQL Server problems and scenarios. This book covers some features not available on the official documentation.

This is a good add-in to professional with SQL Server 2000 experience.

Joe Celko's SQL for Smarties: Advanced SQL Programming
